Author Statement:
- As a poet and writer, I believe in the power of vivid language and meaningful storytelling, especially when literature is able to elaborate on core experiences of the human condition through profound sentimentality and thought-provoking wordplay.
- As a musician, I believe in the need for music to be uniquely one’s own and for its creation to strive towards satisfying the person creating it; however this is done is up to the individual in question.
- As an academic, I believe in the clarity of one’s writing for the sake of the reader’s understanding, such that the scholarly discourse surrounding different topics in academia can be followed and continued in new and compelling directions.
